village. There they meet an alcoholic priest and pervert which initiates

If you like Betrand Blier, Bunuel, Ferreri, Faraldo and like to laugh don't miss this one! No further comments and this time only "boring" screens from this explicit movie, because Kino Anders means; NO SPOILERS !!! Kino Anders shows this hilarious masterpiece with english fansubs, not avaible on dvd anywhere!

Maks and Albert agree to take part in a scientific experiment involving
hibernation. The experiment is only supposed to last a couple of years;
but after getting defrosted, they find themselves in a society they
can't begin to understand. They gradually discover that the world has
gone to hell and there are only women left on the planet, living in a
humongous underground “Vault”, only a lot larger and ruled by the
radical Women's League, which was barely even established in their day...
No doubt the best Polish Sci-Fi movie...,
If not even best polish movie?
And it is one of the best sci-fi movies ever... Especially story line goes
way ahead than many other movies out there nowadays... I saw this movie on
art group, where it is compared with classics like Godfather (I), Citizen
Kane etc. This one is one movie which stands out from the
crowd.
For sci-fi fans, it is must... But the story is so different from
mainstream
science fiction, that I believe "non sci-fi fans" can get something out of
this, so don't miss!

20h15, Year and Country unknown, 10min. from a obscure vhs:
Robot Ape Talkshow
It's about ten minutes of a "talk show" between two animatronic apes
(one is only a bust, the other one stripped of its fur) that only
communicate in sythesized ape sounds. The studio setting is strangely
lit and could very well just be someone's house. Almost all onscreen
text is in a nonexistant (?) "language".
The "talking heads" are sometimes intercut by short reportage segments
about birds. These are perhaps even stranger than the interview
sequences themselves.
20h30 Soviet Union, 1986, 135 min., german or english subtitles:
Kin-dza-dza! (Russian: Кин-дза-дза!, translit. Kin-dzah-dzah!) is a 1986
Soviet comedy-science fiction film released by the Mosfilm studio and
directed by Georgi Daneliya, with a story by Georgi Daneliya and Revaz Gabriadze. The movie was filmed in color, consists of two parts and runs for 135 minutes in total.
The film is a dark and grotesque parody of human society and may be
described as a dystopia. It depicts a desert planet, depleted of its
resources, home to an impoverished dog-eat-dog society with extreme
inequality and oppression. It is a cult film, especially in post-Soviet
countries, and its humorous dialogue is frequently quoted.
Two Humans, "Uncle Vova" and "The Fiddler" accidentally find themselves
on another planet after pushing the wrong button on the strange device
in the hand of an odd hobo, claiming to be an alien. Planet "Pluke" in
the galaxy "Kin-Dza-Dza" looks like a desert. All "aliens" look human,
and can understand Russian, after reading uncle Vova's mind. Their own
language is mostly telepathic and is limited to 11 words - 10 plus "koo"
- all other words. The whole paradox of Pluke is that their
civilization is much more advanced than ours in time and space
traveling, weaponry and so on, but totally barbarian in the social way.
There is a special (and only) way to identify two groups of creatures by
pointing a little device on the person, orange light - "Chatlanian"
(superior), green - "Patsak" (lower class). The most valued things on
the planet are matches (or, rather, the chemicals ordinarily used on
Earth for match heads). One match head equals to 2200 "chatles". Uncle
Vova and Gedevan "the Fiddler" Alexidze, have a long and dangerous
journey in order to get home...

ab 20h30 (20min), Frankreich 1993:
Fronton
Short movie by Aixalà and Marcel.lí about the adventures of a shepherd from Navarre who wants to go to the Moon.
Frontón, a shepherd from Navarre, tries to reach the Moon. His
journey takes him through strange and dreamlike places. On his
wanderings he meets a woman called Lax who dominates him psychically and
sexually. Plo, a naive shepherdess completes the love triangle. In the
end, Fronton reaches the moon by being born from the body of his new
mother, Lax.
Fronton is 20 minutes long and was shot in 35mm. It
was filmed in Navarre in December 1992 after extensive fieldwork in the
area. The project originally came about thanks to a grant from the
Department of Culture of the Navarre local government. It was awarded to
the team made up of Ana Zabalegui, Dani Nicolay and Marcel.lÌ for a
documentary project.
However, the creative process transformed the
original content of the project into a narrative fiction. This relates a
series of conflicting situations confronting the local Navarre
traditions with the hedonism of the femme fatale Lax. The film was not
very well received by the Department of Culture of Navarre, which
explains the absence of their logo in the credits for the producers.
The film was shown in many festivals and it won the main award in the
Festival Etrange in Paris 1993. The film was published in a compilation
in France by L'Etrange Festival&Malta under the title "10 ans
d'Ètranges courts metrages".
ULTRAFREAKED FILTH!
HARD TO BELIEVE!
ab 21h (87min.), USA 1982, Englisch ohne Untertitel:
Some movies just stumble towards cult, mythic status; Ladies and
Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains is one of those magnificent accidents.
Besides in-fighting, the few previews shown to the public were
unanimously panned, Paramount was at a loss as to how to market it, and
the movie had never been available on DVD (or VHS, for that matter).
This has just compounded its status as a "lost" film, with the few
people who have seen it being evangelical in their gossip about this
pseudo punk 'n' roll documentary. Now that it’s here, was it worth the
wait? Does it hold up over time? You bet it does. Orphaned girls (Diane
Lane, Marin Kanter) along with their cousin (Laura Dern) channel their
frustration into a band, The Stains. After a few gigs, the media picks
up what they consider a novelty. This leads to a tour with The
Looters--idealistic punks from London--and the Metal Corpses (headed by
Fee Waybil of the Tubes in a perfectly oblivious performance). Head
Looter takes head Stain under his wing, only to become disillusioned as
he watches the American media, and by extension American teens, chose
popularity over talent (as he sees it). Despite their differing views
about how the movie should be handled, both the message of girl
empowerment (screenwriter Nancy Dowd) and the idea that all great ideas
become co-opted and watered-down (director Lou Adler) resonate
throughout the film. The performances, while not uniformly great, work
so well within the context of the documentary style that they have their
own charm. And Diane Lane, as Stain leader Corinne "Third Degree"
Burns, is simply outstanding, simmering with angst that bursts out at
all the right points. A young Ray Winstone turns in a fine performance
as the lead singer of the Looters, showing both contempt and sensitivity
towards the fledgling Stains. Adding to its cult credentials, the rest
of the Looters are played by Steve Jones and Paul Cook (Sex Pistols) and
Paul Simenon (The Clash). This movie is not only great for any
fans of Times Square and Rock 'n' Roll High School, but it’s a great
addition to any library of music films in general. --Robert Arambel
I missed 3 days of school to do this movie and had the time of my life!...
I remember meeting and getting the autographs of the Sex Pistols and
Clash members who were there...
I signed a contract with Paramount Pictures when the movie was still
called "All Washed Up". I never did see it. Actually, when I was in
Waikiki, Hawaii a couple of years later, we had been watching "sumo
wrestling" on one of their channels and had fallen asleep. When I woke
up, the credits to this movie were scrolling by!!!!!
I was soooooo upset about it, because I had never even seen the movie.
For this film not to be available to the public (with the exception of
the odd midnight movie crowd) is scandalous!! It's a touchstone for the
next twenty years of pop culture.
ab 22h45 (83min.), Macedonia1993, Mazedonisch mit englischen Untertiteln:
Goodbye 20th Century" is a unique, surreal and visionary film that's
divided into three parts. The film's three stories take place in the
future, past and the end of the twentieth century. It
takes its viewers to another dimension. The two directors combine
elements of mysticism, gypsy folk lore, sci-fi and surrealism for a
bleak and bizarre view of the future. The first part of the film takes
place in the 2019. A man is to be executed at gunpoint. Even when
repeatedly shot at, the man cannot die. He continues to live. We later
learn that he was cursed for having sex with a saint. He was impotent
and could only get it up for this woman. The curse causes the town's
children to die. He is now forced to go on living. A mysterious immortal
prophet tells him a way to break the curse. There is also Lynch like
elements such as a crazed green haired joker in the film who looks
straight out of a batman comic. I know, it sounds strange. The bizarre
costumes and abandoned environment is in a cinematic category of its
own. The second part of the film takes place in the 1900's, Where we
witness the first incestuous marriage and murder to be caught on camera.
And finally, the film dives into the present which is New Years Eve,
before the year 2000. A man in a Santa suit goes crazy at a funeral, or
is it the family who's crazy along with their coke addicted relatives
and farting grandmother. If you enjoy the films of
Jodorowsky, Arrabal, Zulawski and Kusturica, then "Goodbye 20th Century"
is for you.
ca. 00h30 (75min), Ungarn 1980, Ungarisch mit englischen Untertitel:
Bubblebath is an almost lost classic of hungarian animation. Enjoy this
unique piece of experimental animation. The story in a nutshell: main
hero starts to panic just before his marriage, escapes, etc. But this is
definitely just an excuse for an animated frenzy.
“Seeing in motion is a philosophy of life.”
In all Kovásznai’s works images swish, paintings, pthotography and
graphics jitter and soar. In 1963 he is the first to make a tentative
film for adults in an animation filmstudio in Hungary. This way he
becomes the enfant terribble of Pannónia Filmstudio. His films
pertaining to the world of fine art are all surprising and yet familiar
planets in the solar system of filmhistory, graced by the spirit of
experimenting, bearing witness to masterful picture-building.
